Wendy’s is an international chain of fast food restaurants specializing in the sale of hamburgers and related menu items. Customers can by hamburgers, cheeseburgers, sandwiches, French fries, salads, side items, desserts, and beverages. The hamburgers are formed into a unique square shape instead of a traditional circle shape. The headquarters is located in Dublin, Ohio and acts as a support center for the company’s more than 6,500 stores. It is one of the major hamburger quick service restaurants in the United States, along with both McDonalds and Burger King. In 2008 The company was purchased by Triarc, the corporation that owns Arby’s, and the restaurant became publically traded under this new ownership. Most of the locations are franchised and are within the United States, although there are international locations in Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, New Zealand, and Honduras, among others.
History Of The Company:
Wendy’s was founded in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio. The founder, Dave Thomas, took inspiration for certain menu items – such as the square hamburgers – from a burger joint in his hometown in Kalamazoo, Michigan. There was also a co-founder involved in the franchise’s development whose name was John T. Schuessler. Since the 60s the restaurant chain has created a salad bar, entered (and subsequently left) the European market, and restructured its menu and standards to keep sales up.

You can apply online by going to main site and clicking on the careers tab at the bottom of the page. Note that you can only apply online if you have access to a computer and to the internet. You will need to be able to connect for 30 minutes to an hour to ensure you have adequate time to complete the process.
Applying In Person At A Local Restaurant :
If you don’t have a computer or access to the internet, you have the option of visiting a location. Find out where restaurants are located near you and go into one or more to inquire about employment. You can ask to speak with a manager, who may give you a paper application to fill out. If you come prepared with all your information (such as social security number and employment history) then it is a quick and easy process. Be prepared for the manager to ask you some questions or conduct a formal interview right on the spot. On the other hand, he or she may ask you to come back another time to be interviewed.

- One the career page you can view information about work culture and benefits. You can also conduct a search for available positions by entering a keyword or descriptive term into the search field. You can also search quickly by selecting a job category. Your options are crew positions, restaurant operations, and corporate and field support.
- On the next page you can further narrow your search by location and radius. The results will appear below and you can click on any of the position titles to view more information. Read over the job description, requirements, qualifications, responsibilities and other details to familiarize yourself with the position.
- Then click the apply button and type in your username and password on the next page. If you do not have a username and password then you will need to create an account. Once you have done so, follow the remaining on screen instructions to submit your resume.
Checking The Status :
If you applied in a store you can always call the manager and ask if he or she has heard anything in regards to the status of your application. If you have an online job profile you may be able to check back on your account to see if you can tell what’s going on with your application. You can also log back into our account to apply for additional positions.
Background Checks :
The company may choose to run a background check on you in order to ascertain your eligibility for hire. Failure to comply may mean that your name is removed from the applicant pool. You may also be subject to other procedures, such as interviews and drug testing, before being offered a position.
